Village Garden
Sue Blakeley provides a complete garden design service from project management garden design service from and project management…
Our clients, a family with young children, live within a beautiful conservation village in a listed period house. As is the nature of many village gardens, the garden is of great length whilst not being particularly wide. Planning discussions with our clients led us to design a series of ‘rooms’ within the garden – each with its own purpose and personality whilst blending seamlessly together.
A Courtyard dining area with a bespoke iron and stone table leads effortlessly on reclaimed York Stone paving to a convivial seating area with the highest quality outdoor furniture and a cedar hot tub. A stone pond edges the terrace area and leads to a quintessential country garden with herbaceous planting and a Dovecot. York Stone steps then move on to a generously proportioned circular flagged seating area with a in-built fire pit and outdoor beanbags in plentiful supply!
From this area adults can enjoy chatting away whilst keeping an eye of children playing in the areas dedicated to ball games . Further on a willow walk and rustic play equipment complete with a Shepherd’s Hut playroom for the girls.
